Delta State 2023: APC, LP, other parties are jokers
By Moses Darah
The saying that ‘Delta State is PDP and PDP is Delta State’ was made manifest again with the unprecedented crowd across the state to support the 5-Over-5 antidote to rescue Nigeria from the maladministration of the APC.
If the Governor of Delta State, Sen (Dr) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa had known few years ago that he would be meritoriously selected by the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP as the Vice Presidential Candidate of the party to host a mega rally in the Stephen Keshi International Stadium, Asaba, he would have doubled the size from the current 22,000 seating capacity. Deltans genuinely came out enmasse to show genuine love and support for the PDP today.
The pains of buying fuel at N300 per litre after a long queue in the petrol stations and exchanging a US dollar to Naira at N700 drove the people out of their homes in demonstration of their massive support to the Rescue Nigeria Team that has promised restructuring, inclusive government, jobs creation, economic revival and infrastructure revitalization.
The overflow of over 100,000 supporters of the PDP for the Atiku/Okowa project was a sure confirmation of the largest campaign event to happen in Delta State. This is not Obinoba family meeting in the name of tsunami.
It is true that other parties are jokers in Delta State. They are strongly advised to drop their aspirations that will end in failure to support the PDP, the only party ready to rescue Nigeria from poverty.
